Why I'm Doing This.

While driving today, my radio informed me that a former five term Congresswoman from my state had just died. During her tenure, Harper's Bazaar listed her as a potential for the first woman President of the United States.

But she died today, at the age of only 63, from complications of Alzheimer's disease.

She spent the last year of her life in a nursing home. This talented, accomplished woman who was only 63 and could have easily lived another 30+ years, instead spent the last year of her life incapacitated, with other people caring for her, not in her right mind, and with this experience culminating in a premature death.

Is this how it's supposed to be?

It's the way it is in America today.

We take it for granted, don't think twice about it- until we're the 60 year old in the nursing home.

Or we have the parent in the nursing home.

The good news: it might be this way in America today, but it is not the way it is supposed to be! God has given us all we need for optimal health, if we will only follow His ways exclusively.

I pray that you make the sacrifices necessary to ensure that your fate is very different than this Congresswoman, whose potential is now gone forever.

It will cost you time, and it will cost you money. It will cost you many conveniences.

But it will be worth it.
